Congratulations to Extreme Racers on breaking the British Record not once, but twice. The South-Yorkshire based team first broke the then-current British Record of 16.59 (held by Bassett Hotdogs, and matched by Live Wires) to hit a time of 16.46 at Acremead in April 2011. Not long after, at their home tournament of Swallownest (Sheffield), they went on to firstly match their record and subsequently break it to run 16.42. There were a number of close calls with lights, including a 16.01 and a 16.33. All of this sets the BFA up for a very tight division 1 at the British Championships, with 7 teams having gone sub17s so far this year (Extreme Racers, High Flyers, Live Wires, Bristol Ball-istics, Shooting Stars, Mansfield Marnicks and Bassett Hotdogs).
Well done Extreme Racers, find out more about them and the dogs that raced in the record breaking team on their website.
